As many people are today, I am preoccupied by the untimely departure of Robin Williams. I probably first saw him when I was a tot watching Mork and Mindy, but when I was three my parents took me to see Popeye, and that's what stuck with me. I know that it may not be his defining role, and that many don't like the film, but it always struck a cord with me and resonated in my life ever since. A very good comic-to-movie, and I cherish it. Robin owned that role, and the roles he played have always been a sheer joy (even when he played the creepy killer in Insomnia...burrrr!). also a strong contender for my favorite would be The Fisher King. great movie, and he did such a great job of being a lunatic and loveable. You'll be missed, Mr. Williams. God's speed.
